About Us

We specialize in Relationship Development Intervention and personal growth for children age 2 to adults. We have been running Social Skills Groups in the Fraser Valley since 1995.
All instructors have extensive education and years of experience working with not only children and adults with challenging behaviours but their families as well. We have designed therapy programs for children and adults of all ages (with a focus on 6- 19 year olds), in a range of settings. We have experience with developmental disorders including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, NVLD, Semantic Pragmatic Disorder, OCD, ADD, and ADHD.
Our RDI consultants have direct experience working with children and adults with an ASD diagnosis in home based intervention, private and public school, residential, institutional and community settings.
Our Staff
Jodi Tucker is a Certified RDI® Service Provider in Abbotsford, British Columbia and has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a diploma as a Speech–Language Assistant. She has 14 years experience working with children and adults with an ASD diagnosis in residential, institutional and community settings. She also has 5 years experience as a Mental Health Worker for FHAN. She has extensive experience designing behaviour modification plans for children of all ages in a range of settings. She also currently develops and runs Social Skills Programs for children ages 6-19 with developmental disorders including but not limited to: ASD, anxiety disorders, OCD and ADD, ADHD. Jodi lives in Abbotsford, BC, with her husband and three children, two boys age 15 and 11, and a daughter age 6.
Elizabeth McWiliams Hewitt is a Behaviour Consultant, having attained her B.A. in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria, and her M.A. in Education from the University of Phoenix. She currently operates a private practice servicing the Lower Mainland, focusing on providing functional assessments of children and youth diagnosed with ASD, as well as designs and implements individualized programs based on the family’s goals and needs. Elizabeth also holds a position with the Simon Fraser Society for Community Living as a Key Worker in the Complex Developmental Behaviour Conditions Network, where she provides support services to families whose children/youth have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder or other complex developmental conditions. Elizabeth currently lives in Maple Ridge, BC, with her husband, a daughter age 3 1/2, and a son age 1 1/2.
Angela Haggerty is an energetic and creative SEA, Behaviour Interventionist and Recreational Therapist with Kids Matter Inc. She has many years experience working with children with Autism and other Special Needs. She is committed to providing a supportive environment to meet the diverse needs of individuals while fostering strong friendships and social development skills. Angela has attained her education through the Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders, Douglas College, and Vancouver Douglas College. She lives in Langley, BC, with her husband and her 10 year old son.
Paula Sharpe is a Social Skills Instructor and Behaviour Interventionist with Kids Matter Inc., with a focus on Planning and implementing social skills programs for children with ASD. Paula also promotes working as a team to achieve a program to fit the needs of the children. Her teaching methods include individualized instruction, problem solving assignments, and small group work. Paula acquired her education at Kings College, in Cambridge, UK, where she studied Emotional Intelligence – Early Years, and at Kwantlen University in Langley, where she studied Early Childhood Education. Paula is married and lives in Abbotsford, BC, with her husband and 6 year old son.
Kathryn McFadden is invaluable in keeping the Kids Matter Inc. staff up to date with scheduling and a myriad of details, as well as expertly maintaining all aspects of the administration. With her many years of experience in customer service and admin with large corporations, there is no task that Kathryn can not handle quickly and efficiently. Kathryn is also an avid community volunteer and Scout leader. She lives in Langley, BC, with her husband, 6 year old daughter, and 9 year old son diagnosed with ASD.
Sharon Reeder has recently joined the administration team. She has worked with international corporations in sales and customer service. Her organizational skills are exceptional and her go to attitude is infectious. Sharon is involved with her local school’s PAC. She lives in Langley, BC with her husband, 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son diagnosed with ASD.
